The Cook County Sheriff's Police FOP Lodge #4 is showing its support of the Special Olympics by sponsoring the Polar Plunge. Anyone that would like to support this worthy cause can either participate in the event or make a donation to the Special Olympics through Lodge #4 fundraisers.

There will be two events held to raise funds for the Lodge #4 sponsorship. The cost for either event will be $25.00. All members, their families and their friends are encouraged to participate.

The first event will be held south on:

January 19, 2012 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Illinois FOP license plates are now available for ordering from the Illinois Secretary of State. All necessary forms can be downloaded from this site, the Illinois FOP State Lodge, or the Illinois Secretary of State.

The Illinois Fraternal Order of Police license plates may be issued to residents of Illinois who are members in good standing of the Fraternal Order of Police-Illinois State Lodge and meet other eligibility requirements prescribed by the Secretary of State.

All money in the Fraternal Order of Police Fund shall be paid, subject to appropriation, as grants to the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police to increase the efficiency and professionalism of law enforcement officers in Illinois, educate the public about law enforcement issues, create partnerships with the public, and to honor the service of law enforcement officers dedicated to the protection of life and property.

Do you have insurance for your secondary employment? It is that time of year. The annual secondary employment forms are due in December. You are required to have your own insurance, if the company that you are working for does not indemnify you.
